More Information
Today we’ve continued to restore power to the Wellington region, focusing on faults which presented a safety concern, followed by outages impacting the most customers.
We’ve now begun progressively restoring power to single-premise outages, prioritising these by how long the faults have been active.
We expect to restore the bulk of our remaining 300 customers without power over the weekend, with any final work being completed by the middle of next week.
Additional fault response resources will arrive from Auckland over the weekend to assist with the completion of our final restoration work next week.
We appreciate your patience and will keep our outages page updated with the latest information on faults impacting more than 10 customers.
Please remember to:
Let your electricity retailer know if you experience a power cut and it's not shown on our outages page.
Phone our emergency line on 0800 248 148 if you spot anything you think might be an electrical hazard.
Treat all electrical equipment as live at all times.
Follow your emergency response plan if you're medically dependent, and contact your health practitioner if an outage puts you at risk of harm.
Call 111 if anyone's in danger or if there’s a fire or serious risk to property.
We only show outages affecting more than 10 properties.
